What this class works with

A continuation of the dynamic balance series, adding a new layer: noticing which direction the body is pulled toward as it balances, and what it feels like to receive that pull rather than resist it. The class builds through pendulums and warrior one into a repeating tree to warrior three flow, with a half moon variation, using a block for those who want support.

In this class

  • •Standing sway and circular pendulum, weighing side to side and rocking forward and back
  • •Arm-raise pendulum with hip tilt, fist clench and release on bent knees
  • •Side bend into a floating ragdoll, spine floating across the pelvic half from one side to the other
  • •Repeating tree pose into warrior one, bouncing at the hips, rising into warrior three with one arm raised (half moon variation), flexing and extending the standing knee to feel the balance shift
  • •Three-legged downward dog into high plank, four-point kneeling, and the recurring child / cat / cow pattern between sides
  • •Later cycles connect the lines into one continuous flow, alternating sides
  • •Ragdoll with clasped hands behind the back, letting the weight of the arms sink through the neck
  • •Windshield wipers in constructive rest
  • •Hanging bridge with arms reaching overhead, rolling down the spine, Shavasana
